TEEULULA, WAPAMA & RANCHERIA FALLS
Round-trip mileage: 4.8 - 13 miles
Difficulty: 1 ( 1=Easy,2=Moderate,3=Strenuous )
Description:
Many people have referred to Hetch Hetchy as Little Yosemite. Except it is missing things like millions of people and Curry Village. Kolana Rock and Hetchy Dome rival those found in the main Yosemite Valley. Teeulula and Wapama Falls also rival those found in the "other" valley.

The difficulty rating is for Wapama Falls. Teeulula Falls is about 1000 ft high and tends to dry up by July. Wapama Falls is the crown jewel of this hike. At 1200 ft tall with a tremendous volume of water, it can even overflow the trail. Seven bridges were built to allow you to hike on, but even they will sometimes be flooded. Rancheria Falls is about 50 ft high and will really exercise you to get there.

Actually using any search engine will bring many web sites for Wapama Falls and Hetch Hetchy and, of course, Yosemite.
Directions:
From Groveland, drive east on Hwy 120 for 22.5 miles to the Evergreen Rd turnoff signed for Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. If you reach the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite, you went 1 mile too far. Take Evergreen Rd north to Camp Mather and then bear right and continue on Hetch Hetchy Rd for a total of 16 miles to the dam and trailhead. Note: Since this is part of Yosemite, there is an entrance fee.
