| PCT. That's right. This trail follows the Pacific Crest Trail for a ways from Carson Pass. From this trail, you can get to Showers Lake (highest lake in Upper Truckee River basin), Round Lake, and Meiss Lake. You will also travel along the Truckee River. |

| Take Hwy 88 from Jackson to Carson Pass. Spend some time at the "Visitor's Center", then come back Hwy 88 0.2 miles and park in the parking lot on the north side of Hwy 88. Ther emay be a fee to park in this lot. |
