Little Yosemite is a scenic gorge on Alameda Creek about two miles upstream from park headquarters. It is an especially attractive portion of this creek. Its gorgeous waterfalls and pools seem to attract cub scouts like a magnet. It is part of the Sunol Regional Wilderness Area off Hwy 680 between Pleasanton and Fremont.
There is a seasonal $5.00 park entrance fee. For more information go to http://www.ebparks.org/parks/sunol.htm |
| Directions: |
At about 115 miles from Sacramento using either Hwy 80 - Hwy 680 or Hwy 5 - Hwy 205/580 - Hwy 680, the Hwy 5 route is normally the quickest. So we take Hwy 5 south past Stockton where we turn West on Hwy 205 which soon merges with Hwy 580. Take Hwy 680 South towards San Jose.
Exit at Calaveras Road/Highway 84 just south of the town of Pleasanton. Turn left onto Calaveras Road and proceed to Geary Road, which leads directly into the park.
