| This would be considered an easy hike, if it wasn't for the length. 3 different hikes will be described here. An out-and-back of 5.6 miles, an out-and-back of 7.0 miles, and a complete circle around Jenkinson Lake (aka Sly Park Reservoir). The trailhead for each hike is at Bumpy Meadows. |

| From Rancho Cordova, it is about 45 miles to the Sly Park turnoff in Pollock Pines. Turn right towards Sly Park and drive 4.7 miles to Morman Emigrant Trail, aka Iron Mtn Rd. This will be shortly past the entrance to the Sly Park campground. Turn left on M.E.T., and drive abt 1 mile. This will cross over both dams. Shortly after the 2nd dam, you will reach an unsigned left-turn. Take this into Bumpy Meadows Trailhead parking lot. There is room for 20+ cars here. There are also 2 pit toilets. |
